The motoneige is necessary, in winter, to contemplate this landscape without trees, but how much splendid!

On the picture, Pierre Lebreux, Qallunaat of Salluit. Originating from the area of Beloeil, Pierre is married with an Inuk and had two children. Here, the word Qallunaat, which means white man man with a moustache and large belly, takes all its significance!

The ices give us sometimes splendid photographs.
This picture is taken by Mrs Helene Sénedèse, social worker.

The houses are sometimes perched on hills, like here the residences
of the Salluit CLSC workers, located at top of the mountain
which overhangs the Salluit Bay.

Splendid landscapes; the horizon, as far as the eye can see!

The road to the Salluit Airport;
the sun often licks the mountainside...

The traditional costume of the Inuits women: amautiq.
A clothing which makes it possible to the woman
to transport her baby in a pocket located in its back.
