THE DENTAL CARE DEPARTMENT OFFERS CURATIVES AND PREVENTIVES CARE.

Curative dental cares are done by 4 dentists permanently based in Kujjuaraapik, Inukjuak, Puvirnituq and Salluit.

Kujjuaraapik’s dentist also visits Umiujaq village once a month. Inukjuak and Salluit dentists respectively visit Akulivik and Ivujivik monthly.

A denturist visits each village 4 times a year. There is also dental surgery approximately 10 times a year in Puvirnituq.

Preventive dental cares are provided by dental hygienists who take charge of the community services.
